I’m Linda. Nice to meet you!
We are all more than our resumes, so here’s the story about me and how I work that you won’t get from my work history.
I live in Haymarket, VA with my spouse and our dog, Special Agent Dale Cooper. In my spare time, I like to create resin art, watch movies, try new restaurants, and write. I want to travel more, when it’s safe to do so. Here is a picture of my dog:

Because I live in Northern Virginia and do not wish to spend my waking hours sitting in traffic, I strongly prefer remote work. I have a dedicated home office, am “self-motivated” and a “self-starter” and all the other cover letter buzzwords that indicate that I will be successful working from home. I have been working remotely since 2018, and have no intention of returning to an office environment and sharing air with coworkers during a pandemic.
Here is what I value in a workplace:
- Trust: I am a smart and capable adult and need a workplace that treats me as such. I thrive in work environments where I am given direction and then given time and space to get the job done.
- Room to fail: I believe that failure is necessary for growth. To get good at something, you have to be bad at it for awhile. You have to make mistakes and learn from them. I need a workplace that gives me room to try new things, figure them out, and learn from mistakes.
- Work/life balance: I like to have fun at work and enjoy working with others, but I do not want my coworkers to be my family. My family is my family, and I’d prefer to spend nights and weekends with them. I also believe that rest is essential to being effective at work, so I look for a work culture that supports employees resting, recuperating, and prioritizing themselves and their health. Rest is the most important and most effective productivity hack out there.
My biggest strengths as an employee are my innovative mind and my insight. My secret weapon is being able zoom out and look at things from a different perspective. I’m an INTJ, so often this means making processes more efficient, but it can also mean coming up with an out-of-the-box idea that changes the game.
My catchphrase is, “I don’t know how to do that but I’ll learn!” And then I do. For employers willing to let me learn and try, I will learn and do a lot. I’ll apply all of my heart and soul to a project. I’ll stretch and grow and work hard. I am fiercely loyal, and I will go to the mat for an employer that will do the same for me.
Sound good? Let’s start working together.
